Special Service Equipment

CAUTION: Do not use R-12 special tools and equipment when servicing a R-134a system. Also do not use R-134a special service tools and equipment when servicing R-12 systems. Doing so may cause damage to the A/C system. Refer to the Rotunda Equipment Catalog for more information on R-134a Special Servicing Equipment.

R-134a systems require the use of special servicing equipment designed specifically for these systems. R-12 servicing equipment cannot be used when servicing R-134a A/C systems. R-134a special service equipment includes:
- Rotunda R-134a Center 023-00121 or equivalent.
- Rotunda R-134a Automatic Calibration Halogen Leak Detector 023-R1003 or equivalent.
- Rotunda R-134a Manifold Gauge Set 176-R032A or equivalent.
- Rotunda R-134a Low-Side Quick Disconnect 176-R0036 or equivalent.
- Rotunda R-134a High-Side Quick Disconnect 176-R0037 or equivalent.
- Rotunda 1.2 CFM Vacuum Pump 023-R0162 or equivalent.
- Rotunda 4 CFM Vacuum Pump 023-R0163 or equivalent.

Test equipment must be connected to the refrigerant system in order to make system tests. If a charging station is used, follow the instructions provided by the station manufacturer.
