Alternate Procedure
1. Park the vehicle on a flat level surface 7.6 meters (25 ft) from a vertical wall directly in front of it.2. Measure the height of the headlamp's center from the ground and mark a 2.5 meter (8 ft) horizontal reference line on the vertical wall at this height.
3. Turn on the headlamps and set to low beam, open the hood.
4. On the wall you will observe an area of high intensity light. If the high intensity area on the wall is not centered approximately 254 mm (10.16 in) below the horizontal reference line, the beam will need to be adjusted. Adjust the beam by locating the vertical adjuster.
5. Using a 7 mm wrench, turn the adjuster either clockwise to adjust up or counterclockwise to adjust down. The bubble gauge indicator should be at 0 reference upon completing the above aiming process.
