a. In Sequence, as Follows:
- Tighten fasteners 1-16 to 3.5 Nm (27-44 Lb-In).
- Push crankshaft rearward, seat crankshaft thrust washer.
- Tighten fasteners 1-8 to 22-28 Nm (17-20 Lb-Ft).
- Tighten fasteners 9-16 to 37-43 Nm (28-31 Lb-Ft).
- Rotate fasteners 1-16 an additional 85-95 degrees.
- Tighten fasteners 17-22 to 20-30 Nm (15-22 Lb-Ft).
b. In Sequence, as Follows:
- Tighten bolts to 37-43 Nm (28-31 Lb-Ft).
- Rotate bolts 85-95 degrees.
- Loosen bolts a minimum of one full turn.
- Tighten bolts to 37-43 Nm (28-31 Lb-Ft).
- Rotate bolts 85-95 degrees.
- Rotate bolts an additional 85-95 degrees.
c. Tighten three-quarter turn after rubber seal contacts sealing surface.
d. Tighten as Follows:
- Tighten bolt to 120 Nm (88 Lb-Ft).
- Loosen bolt a minimum of one full turn.
- Tighten bolt to 47-53 Nm (35-39 Lb-Ft).
- Rotate bolt 85-95 degrees.
e. Rotate 90-120 degrees.
f. Rotate 85-95 degrees.
g. Tighten as follows:
- Tighten nuts to 10 Nm (7 Lb-Ft).
- Lower powertrain to load insulator.
- Tighten nuts to 70-95 Nm (52-70 Lb-Ft).
h. Tighten as Follows:
- Tighten nuts to 10 Nm (7 Lb-Ft).
- Lower powertrain to load insulator.
i. Tighten nuts to:
- Automatic 41-55 Nm (30-41 Lb-Ft).
- Manual 70-95 Nm (52-70 Lb-Ft).
j. Tighten as Follows:
- Tighten bolts to 10 Nm (7 Lb-Ft).
- Verify front to rear alignment.
- Tighten bolts to 41-55 Nm (30-41 Lb-Ft).
k. Align nut and install cotter pin.
l. Tighten to 25 Nm (18 Lb-Ft). Then tighten an additional 90 degrees.
