Vehicle Certification Label

Vehicle Certification (VC) Label - Reference

The upper portion of the Vehicle Certification (VC) label contains the manufacturer name, the month and year of manufacture, the certification statement and the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). It also includes Gross Vehicle Weight Ratings (GVWR). The VC label is located on the left-hand front door jamb.

The brake type codes are:
- 3 - 4-Wheel disc brake, Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis
- 4 - 4-Wheel disc brake with Anti-lock Brakes (ABS), Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis
- A - 4-Wheel disc brakes with anti-lock brakes (ABS) and traction control, Continental, Town Car
- B - 4-Wheel disc brakes with anti-lock brakes (ABS), Town Car
