Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify the customer concern.
2. Visually inspect for the following obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
^ Damaged horn
^ Damaged steering wheel pad horn switch (part of driver side air bag module)
^ Damaged HORN relay
^ Damaged speed control servo (if equipped)

Electrical
^ Blown fuse:
- 15 A HORN
^ Damaged wiring harness
^ Loose or corroded connections

3. If the fault is not visually evident, verify the symptom and proceed to Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
