With Returnless Fuel System

Wrench, Sender Unit, Fuel Tank:

SPECIAL TOOL(S)

WARNING: DO NOT SMOKE OR CARRY LIGHTED TOBACCO OR OPEN FLAME OF ANY TYPE WHEN WORKING ON OR NEAR ANY FUEL RELATED COMPONENTS. HIGHLY FLAMMABLE VAPORS ARE ALWAYS PRESENT AND MAY IGNITE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.

REMOVAL
1. Remove the fuel tank Service and Repair.







2. Using the special tool, remove the fuel pump locking ring.







3. Disconnect the fuel pump module electrical connector.







4. Remove the fuel pump module.
^ Rotate the pump counterclockwise to remove.

5. Remove and discard the O-ring seal.

INSTALLATION







1. Install a new O-ring seal and locking ring.
2. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
