Front Seat Backrest

DISASSEMBLY







1. Release the backrest cover zip.







2. Detach the plastic retaining strip at the base of the backrest.







3. Detach the backrest foam from the backrest frame.
^ Cut the hog rings.







4. Remove the backrest back plate.
^ Cut the cable ties







5. Remove the head restraint.







6. Detach the backrest cover and foam pad from around the tip lever.







7. Remove the head restraint guides.
^ Press the locking tangs.







8. Detach the plastic retaining strip on the underside of the seat cushion.







9. Disconnect the backrest heater mat electrical connector.







10. Release the backrest cover side air bag deployment zip.

NOTE: Remove the tape from the backrest cover side air bag deployment zip.







11. Remove the backrest cover and foam pad.
12. Remove the side air bag module. For additional information, refer to Air Bag Systems.







13. Roll the backrest cover toward the center to access the pleating hog rings.
^ Cut the 12 hog rings.







14. Disconnect the tip lever cables.
1. Disconnect the cable outer.
2. Disconnect the cable inner.







15. Remove the tip lever and cables.
^ Press the locking tangs.

16. Remove the lumbar motor.

ASSEMBLY

1. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
