ISSUE

Some vehicles built prior to 09/22/2000 may exhibit the brake lamps staying on. This may be caused by the brake lamp switch being moved out of position.

ACTION

Install clip 1S8Z-2C540-AA, to secure the Brake Lamp Switch to the pedal bracket. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.

Service Procedure





Remove the Brake Lamp Switch and reinstall to ensure proper positioning. Install "Clip" 1S8Z-2C540-AA, to secure the Brake Lamp Switch to the pedal bracket. Refer to Figure 1 for location description.
