Sunroof / Moonroof: Description and Operation

The roof opening panel is electrically operated and available as optional equipment. It requires a specific roof panel and headliner. A unique overhead console incorporates the interior lamp and houses the roof operating switch.

The roof opening panel operates in the following manner:
^ When the roof opening panel switch is rocked rearward, the roof opening panel slides above the roof panel.
^ When the roof opening panel switch is rocked forward with the roof open, the roof opening panel moves forward either until the switch is released or the roof opening panel has fully closed.
^ The rear portion of the roof opening panel moves upward near the end of the forward travel allowing a weather-tight seal when the roof opening panel is closed.
^ When the roof opening panel switch is rocked forward, with the roof opening panel fully closed, the rear of the roof opening panel opens to the VENT position.
^ With the roof opening panel in the VENT position, rocking the roof opening panel switch rearward closes the roof opening panel.
