Vehicle Certification (VC) Label

The upper portion of the Vehicle Certification (VC) label contains the manufacturer name, date of manufacture, the certification statement and the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). It also includes the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). The VC label is located in the left-hand door opening.

Exterior Paint Codes:

Exterior paint codes may be listed as a two-part code. The first set of letters/numbers listed identify the vehicle primary body color. The second set of letters/numbers (if applicable), identify two-tone or accent body color code.
^ ES - Red (clear coat)
^ HL - Laser Tint Red (clear coat)
^ W4 - White (clear coat)
^ UB - Ebony (clear coat)
^ TU - Silver Frost
^ TG - Dark Shadow Gray Metallic (clear coat)
^ BQ - Light Parchment Gold Metallic (clear coat)
^ M9 - French Blue Metallic (clear coat)
^ F5 - Grabber Green Metallic (clear coat)

Body Type Codes:

^ T60 - Coupe, in-line four-cylinder engine
^ T61 - Coupe, V-6 engine

Moulding Codes:

Moulding type codes no longer appear on the VC label.

Interior Trim Codes:

Interior trim codes are listed below. The first letter/number identifies the interior fabric. The second letter/number identifies the interior trim color.
^ A - Cloth - individual seating
^ B - Sport Cloth - individual seating
^ 8 - Leather - individual seating

Interior trim colors are:
^ W - Midnight Black
^ A - Medium Graphite
^ H - Medium Parchment
^ G - Dark Graphite
^ B - French Blue
^ R - Colorado Red

Radio Codes:

The radio type codes are:
^ K - AM/FM stereo with cassette and Compact Disc (CD) player
^ 3 - AM/FM stereo with Compact Disc (CD) player
^ 6 - AM/FM stereo with six-disc CD changer
^ 7 - AM/FM stereo MACH 1000 with six-disc (CD) changer

Transaxle Code:

The transaxle codes are:
^ 5 - Five-speed manual (MTX-75)
^ T - Automatic (CD4E)

Axle Ratio Codes:

The axle ratios are:
^ B - 4.06
^ C - 3.84

Spring Codes:

Spring codes are listed as a two-part code. The first character listed identifies the front springs code. The second character listed identifies the rear springs code.
