ISSUE
Some vehicles may exhibit condensation in the headlamps. Condensation is a natural occurring phenomenon in headlamps. This is due to the fact that headlamps have to be vented to alleviate pressure differentials on the inside and outside of the lamp.
ACTION
Under normal operating conditions with the headlamps on, this condensation will dissipate. Refer to the following Service Information for details.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Condensation in a headlamp can be eliminated under normal vehicle operating conditions and with the headlamps turned on for 10 minutes. The main globe region in the lamp (Figure 1) should be free of all condensate at the end of the ten minutes. If at the end of ten minutes, excessive condensate still remains in the globe region of the lamp, then the affected lamp assembly should be replaced.
