Seat Occupant Sensor

CAUTION: If installing only the front passenger seat cushion trim cover, the seat occupant sensor must be rezeroed.

The seat occupant sensor is found only on the front passenger seat and was not equipped on all vehicles. A white tag having the letters "OCS" (Occupant Classification Sensor) will appear under the front of the passenger seat identifying a seat equipped with a seat occupant sensor. When servicing a passenger seat equipped with a seat occupant sensor, the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) must be deactivated.

Lumbar Support
The lumbar support system consists of the following components:
- lumbar seat control switch
- front seat backrest pad adjuster
- front seat backrest pad adjusting motor
- seat backrest control wiring

Power Recliner
The power recliner is a modular design and incorporated into the inertia front seat backrest latch. The individual components cannot be repaired or installed new.

The power recliner tilts the seat backrest backward or forward and is controlled by the seat regulator control switch.

The power recliner cannot be repaired separately. If the power recliner needs to be repaired, the entire front seat backrest latch must be installed new.
