Customer Satisfaction Opportunity

Correct affected vehicles identified in OASIS, which are brought to your dealership within the applicable new vehicle warranty coverage period. This is an opportunity to provide additional warranty service for customers who use your service department.

Because customers will not be expecting this service, before performing the repair, dealers should inform owners that this service will be performed on their vehicle to improve their overall satisfaction. Upon completion of this SSI, the customer must be provided with a written repair order that confirms what specific services (parts and labor) were performed.

Rental Vehicles

Rental vehicle coverage is not approved for this SSI.

Issue

In some of the affected vehicles, the heater hose clamp may be improperly positioned on the heater hoses leading to and from the heater core. This condition could cause coolant to leak from these connections. This loss of coolant could reduce the effectiveness of the cooling system and lead to engine overheating.

Action

On all affected vehicles, dealerships are instructed to inspect and, if necessary, adjust the position of the heater hose clamps at the heater core. (See Technical Instructions.)
