Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc: Description and Operation

The audio system consists of the following:
^ a manual Integrated Control Panel (ICP)
^ a rear mounted AM/FM audio unit (base system)
^ an ICP mounted cassette tape player
^ front and rear mounted speakers
^ an optional electronic ICP
^ an optional rear mounted AM/FM digital (Mach) audio unit
^ an optional Compact Disc (CD) changer

Each audio control is part of the ICP and cannot be repaired separately. Send the ICP to an authorized Ford audio system repair facility.

On the sedan model, the CD changer is located in the LH side of the luggage compartment. On the wagon, it is located in the RH side of the rear quarter Panel. On the six-passenger model it is located in the center console.
