Camber and Caster Adjustment - Front

Special Tools:





Special Tool(s)





1. Center punch the four spot welds.





2. Loosen the nuts.

3. CAUTION: Do not cut deeper than necessary to remove the alignment plate.





Using the special tool, remove the four spot welds.





4. Remove the nuts and the alignment plate.





5. Prepare the strut tower and alignment plate surfaces.
^ Remove any burrs.
^ Clean and paint any exposed metal.





6. Position the alignment plate. Loosely install the nuts.
7. Adjust the camber and caster.





8. Tighten the nuts.
9. Check the alignment settings. Follow the manufacturer's instructions. Readjust the camber and caster as necessary.

10. CAUTION: Do not drill deeper than 9.6 mm (0.38 inch) into the strut tower.








Drill three 3.2 mm (0.12 inch) holes through the alignment plate and strut tower.
^ Clean and paint any exposed metal.





11. Install three pop rivets.
^ Use 3.2 mm (0.12 inch) diameter x 6.4 mm (0.25 inch) grip range steel pop rivets.
