Window Glass: Adjustments

DOOR WINDOW GLASS ADJUSTMENT

Front Door Window Glass Adjustment
1. Remove the front door trim panel.
2. Position the watershield aside.







3. Connect the window control switch electrical connectors.
4. Connect the battery.
5. Turn the ignition key to the ON position.
6. Partially lower the door glass.







7. Loosen the top regulator nuts a minimum of 3 full threads.







8. Loosen the 2 front door glass top run bolts a minimum of 3 full turns.
9. Cycle the glass to the full down position.
10. Cycle the glass to the full up position.
11. Inspect the window regulator stud location in the slots on the door inner sheet metal panel and make sure the regulator studs are located at the center of the slots.







12. With the regulator studs at the center of the slots, tighten the front door window regulator nuts.







13. Tighten the front door glass run channel bolts.
14. Cycle the window glass to verify the window functions correctly.
15. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
16. Disconnect the battery.
17. Disconnect the window control switch electrical connectors.
18. Reposition the watershield.
19. Install the front door panel.

Rear Door Window Glass Adjustment
1. Remove the rear door trim panel.
2. Position the watershield aside.
3. Connect the window control switch electrical connectors.
4. Connect the battery.
5. Turn the ignition key to the ON position.
6. Partially lower the door glass.







7. Loosen the top regulator nuts a minimum of 3 full threads.







8. Loosen the 2 rear door glass run bolts a minimum of 3 full threads.
9. Cycle the glass to the full down position.
10. Cycle the glass to the full up position.
11. Inspect the window regulator stud location in the slots on the door inner sheet metal panel and make sure the regulator studs are located at the center of the slots.







12. With the regulator studs at the center of the slots, tighten the rear door window regulator nuts.







13. Tighten the rear door glass run channel bolts.
14. Verify that the glass is in the correct position.
15. Cycle the window glass to verify the window functions correctly.
16. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
17. Disconnect the battery.
18. Disconnect the window control switch electrical connectors.
19. Reposition the watershield.
20. Install the rear door panel.
