Test D: All Door Locks Are Inoperative
PINPOINT TEST D: ALL DOOR LOCKS ARE INOPERATIVED1-D3:
D4:
Normal Operation
The smart junction box (SJB) receives voltage for the door lock system on circuit SBB01 (RD). The door lock relays receive voltage from the SJB.
On vehicles without memory, the SJB supplies voltage to the lock all relay, the unlock driver door relay or unlock all relay based upon input from the door lock control switches, the remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitter, or the RKE keypad. When the SJB supplies voltage to circuit CPL52 (VT/GY) RH front, LH rear, RH rear doors, CPL51 (BU/GN) LH front door and ground through circuit CPL11 (GY/BN), the door latches unlock the doors. When the SJB supplies voltage to circuit CPL11 (GY/BN) and ground through circuit CPL52 (GY/BN) RH front, LH rear, RH rear doors and circuit CPL51 (BU/GN) the door latches lock the doors
On vehicles with memory, the SJB supplies voltage to lock all or unlock all relays and sends a CAN message to the driver door module (DDM) based upon input from the RH door lock control switch, the RKE transmitter, or the RKE keypad. When the SJB supplies voltage to circuit CPL52 (VT/GY) and the DDM supplies voltage to circuit CPL51 (BU/GN) the door lock actuators unlock the doors. When the SJB supplies voltage to circuit CPL11 (GY/BN) and the DDM supplies voltage to circuit CPL02 (VT/GN) the door lock actuators lock the doors.
Possible Causes
- fuse(s)
- circuit CPL11 (GY/BN) open or short to ground
- circuit SBB01 (RD) open
- SJB
