Assembly
111. NOTE: Only one wiring harness retainer is shown, other wiring harness retainer is similar.
Attach the 2 wiring harness retainers to the fuel rail.
112. Connect the 6 (3 shown) fuel injector electrical connectors.
113. Attach the wiring harness retainer to the LH valve cover stud bolt.
114. Connect the 3 LH coil-on-plug electrical connectors.
^ Attach the 2 wiring harness pin-type retainers to the valve cover.
115. Attach the 3 wiring harness retainers to the valve cover stud bolts.
116. Connect the LH VCT solenoid and LH CMP sensor electrical connectors.
^ Attach the 2 wiring harness retainers to the valve cover stud bolts.
117. Connect the generator B+ cable and electrical connector and install the nut.
^ Tighten to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
118. Connect the oil pressure sender electrical connector.
119. If equipped, attach the block heater wiring harness retainers to the oil level indicator tube and remove the harness.
120. If equipped, connect the block heater electrical connector.
121. Connect the A/C compressor electrical connector.
122. NOTE: Clean and inspect all sealing surfaces.
Install new gaskets.
Position the upper intake manifold and install the 8 bolts.
^ Tighten in the sequence shown to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
123. Connect the throttle body coolant hose.
124. Connect the electronic throttle body electrical connector.
125. Connect the crankcase vent hose to the upper intake manifold.
126. Attach the wiring harness pin-type retainer to the upper intake manifold.
127. Connect the manifold actual pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector and the pin-type retainer.
128. NOTE: When installing the lower half of the lifting bracket it will be easier to loosely install the upper bolt first then install the lower bolt.
Install the lower half of the special tool.
129. Install the upper half of the special tool.
130. Install the special tool.
131. Install the special tools.
132. Using the special tools and a suitable engine crane, remove the engine from the engine stand.
