Generator
Removal
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Position the upper radiator hose aside and remove the upper radiator hose cradle.
4. Remove the generator B+ nut and terminal.
5. Disconnect the generator electrical connector and position the engine wiring harness aside.
6. Rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner and position the accessory drive belt aside.
7. Remove the upper generator nut and stud.
8. Loosen the lower generator bolt.
9. Remove the generator.
Installation
1. Install the generator and hand-tighten the bolt.
2. Install the upper generator stud.
- Tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
3. Install the upper nut.
- Tighten to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).
4. Tighten the lower bolt.
- Tighten to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).
5. Rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner and position the accessory drive belt onto the pulley.
6. Connect the generator electrical connector.
7. Install the generator terminal and B+ nut.
- Tighten to 17 Nm (150 lb-in).
8. Install the upper radiator hose cradle and position the upper radiator hose into the cradle.
9. Install the engine cover.
10. Connect the battery.
