ISSUE
Some 2010 Fusion and Milan vehicles equipped with a 3.0L engines and built on or before 8/2/2009 may exhibit loss of air conditioning (A/C) system operation during extreme hot ambient temperatures when vehicle is at base engine idle for extended periods of time, or when vehicle is driven during extreme hot ambient temperatures below 4 MPH (6 Km/h) for extended periods of time. If vehicle concerns are not resolved with normal diagnostics reprogram the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with the latest level Integrated Diagnostic Services (IDS) calibration.
ACTION
Reprogram the PCM to the latest calibration using IDS release 62.11 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the VCM 2009.7 DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
