Lumbar Assembly

Removal

NOTE: Driver side shown, passenger similar.

Police vehicles

1. Pull the zippers out from underneath the material, unzip both zippers and position the backrest trim cover up to access the backrest trim panel.





Non-police vehicles

2. Release the backrest trim cover J-clips.
- Release the lower J-clip first and then release the 2 side J-clips.





All vehicles

3. Release the cushion trim cover rear J-clip.





4. Release the cushion trim cover rear corner J-clip.

5. Release the cushion trim cover rear hook and loop strip.





6. Disconnect the heated backrest mat electrical connector.





7. If equipped, access and disconnect the power lumbar motor electrical connector.

8. Remove and discard the power lumbar motor rivet.

9. Remove the lumbar motor.

10. Release the lumbar assembly from the bottom of the seat backrest frame.

11. Remove the lumbar assembly.
- Partially separate the cushion foam pad from the top of the seat backrest frame for access.

- Release the lumbar assembly from the top of the seat backrest frame and remove.

Installation

All vehicles

1. Install the lumbar assembly.
- Install the lumbar assembly to the top of the seat backrest frame, then install to the lower seat backrest frame.

2. Install the power lumbar motor.
- Install the power lumbar motor to the seat backrest frame bracket.

- Install a new power lumbar motor rivet.

- Position the cushion foam pad to the top of the seat backrest frame.

3. If equipped, connect the power lumbar motor electrical connector.

4. Connect the heated backrest mat electrical connector.





5. Connect the cushion trim cover rear hook and loop strip.





6. Attach the cushion trim cover rear corner J-clip.

7. Attach the cushion trim cover rear J-clip.





Non-police vehicles

8. NOTE: Note the alignment of the 2 side J-clips at the top of the seat to avoid bunching.

Attach the backrest trim cover J-clips.

- Attach the 2 side J-clips first and then attach the lower J-clip.





Police vehicles

9. Pull the backrest trim cover down, zip both zippers and tuck the zippers under the material.
