Seat Track
Removal and Installation
NOTICE: Use care when handling the seat and track assembly. Dropping the assembly or sitting on a seat not secured in the vehicle may result in damaged components.
1. Remove the seat. For additional information, refer to Seat - Front Seat - Front.
2. Remove the safety belt buckle.
- Remove the nut.
- For the driver seat, disconnect the safety belt buckle switch electrical connector.
- For the passenger seat, disconnect the safety belt buckle switch and Belt Tension Sensor (BTS) electrical connectors.
- Remove the safety belt buckle.
- To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
3. Release the cushion trim cover rear J-clip.
4. Release the J-clip.
5. Release the cushion trim cover rear hook and loop strip.
6. Detach the seat track motor electrical connector.
7. For driver seat, disconnect the seat position sensor electrical connector.
8. Remove the 2 recliner-to-seat track bolts.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
9. Remove the pivot bolt.
- To install, tighten to 45 Nm (33 lb-ft).
10. Remove the seat track.
- Disconnect any remaining electrical connectors.
- Remove the 4 seat track-to-cushion frame bolts and seat track.
- To install, tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).
11. NOTE: Make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted and the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
