ISSUE
Some 2010-2011 Fusion Hybrid, Milan Hybrid and MKZ Hybrid vehicles built on or after 6/5/2009 may exhibit the wrench lamp illuminating accompanied by diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0C2F (Drive Motor/Generator/Engine Speed Sensor Performance) and either a reduction in engine power or a higher than normal idle speed.
ACTION
Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using IDS release 72.04 and higher or 73.01 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the VCM 2011.5 DVD.Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
