SUBJECT
Speed Dependent Volume Function is not Adjustable

MODEL
R50 (Cooper), R53 (Cooper S) with Harman/Kardon Amplifier

SITUATION
The customer complains that the speed dependent volume (GAL) cannot be adjusted as described in the Owner's Manual.

CAUSE
Error in the Owner's Manual. The speed dependent volume cannot be adjusted in vehicles with Harman/Kardon.

INFORMATION
The speed dependent volume function is programmed into the H/K amplifier and cannot be changed.

Typically, a volume change can only be heard at speeds over 50 mph.
