SUBJECT
Windows do not Drop When Opening Door
MODEL
R50 (Cooper), R53 (Cooper S)
SITUATION
The customer may complain that intermittently, the windows do not drop when the door is opened.
Normally, for ease of closing, the windows drop approximately 10 mm when the door is opened, and move back up to the fully closed position when the door is closed.
CAUSE
The situation occurs if the window is opened, but then not closed to the full "up" position. The BC1 must recognize a full "up" position for the window "drop" feature to operate.
CORRECTION
Do not replace any parts
In case of customer complaint, demonstrate to the customer how the situation occurs, and recommend that to avoid this problem when closing the window, the switch is held in the "up" position until the window stops moving and the window motor stalls.
