Replacing a Constant-Velocity Joint on Right Output Shaft





31 60 020 - Replacing a constant-velocity joint on right output shaft





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove output shaft.





Remove hose clamp securing the sleeve on constant-velocity joint (1).
Remove hose clamp securing the sleeve on shaft (2).
Remove sleeve from joint.





Firmly hold shaft and drive inner joint (1) off shaft. Remove sleeve from shaft.

Installation:
Slide new sleeve and seal onto shaft.





Generously pack joint with grease and fit on shaft. Make sure that the joint rests on the new ring on the shaft. Press ring (1) into groove, drive joint onto shaft.





Slide sleeve onto joint and shaft and make sure that the seal beading of the sleeve fits in grooves (1).





Secure hose clamp on sleeve as shown.
