Oil Pump: Service and Repair

Removing And Installing/Replacing Oil Pump

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove timing case cover.





Remove oil pump cover retaining bolts in specified order (10-1).
Remove oil pump cover.

Installation note:
Tighten oil pump retaining bolts in specified order (1-10).
Tightening torqu 11 41 1AZ






Remove outer wheel (1) and inner wheel (2).

Note: The outer and inner wheel are mutually matched and must always be replaced together.






Use a suitable drift to press down spacer until circlip is no longer tensioned.
Remove circlip and pressure relief valve.

Caution: High spring force.






Remove pressure relief valve from oil pump cover.
1. pressure relief valve
2. Coil spring
3. bush
4. Circlip

Note: Check oil pump housing for scoring or damage.
