Correct Routing of Battery Vent Tube
MODEL
R50 Cooper
SITUATION
The battery in the R50 is under the hood. It is essential the battery vent tube, which allows the battery to breathe, is not pinched, or kinked.
INFORMATION
When removing the battery disconnect switch, or when installing a battery, the vent tube must be routed so that it is not kinked or pinched in any way.
Note that the routing of the vent tubes was changed for 2004 Model Year vehicles.
