Subject
Coolant discoloration on MINI Cooper with W10 engine and
MINI Cooper S with W11 engine.

Complaint
Coolant in reservoir appears cloudy or orange-brown.

Cause
Currently under investigation. Preliminary tests of discolored coolant have found no degradation of anticorrosion properties or anti-freeze/anti-boil properties.

Measure
On a customer complaint basis only, thoroughly flush cooling system and replace coolant.
