Heated windshield (R50)


Function
The heated windshield (HFS) is switched on using the button when the ignition key is at position 2 and the engine is running. When the heated windshield is switched on, the indicator lamp in the switch lights up. To switch off the heated windshield, the switch must be pressed once again.

At temperatures above 50�F (10�C), the heated windshield runs for 3 minutes. At temperatures below 50�F (10�C), the timer runs for 5 minutes.

During a start, the heated windshield function is interrupted. The indicator lamp remains on. The heated windshield is switched on 2 seconds after the start.

Note: On cars with integrated automatic heating / air conditioning system, the rear-window defroster and the heated windshield are activated with single a button.
