SITUATION
After installation of the CD Changer, the carpet in the rear cargo area is difficult to lift up in order to gain access to the tool kit on the MINI Cooper or the battery on the Cooper S.
CORRECTION
The two holes located on the right side of the mounting bracket must be lowered in order to raise the bracket and CD changer. A new 5.5 mm hole should be drilled 15 mm below each hole currently located on the right side of the bracket. Raising the bracket by more than 15 mm may make removing the CD magazine difficult.
Please utilize the installation instructions (Installation Instructions M65 01 02) when installing the CD Changer Installation Kit, P/N 82 11 0 147 417.
