11 28 010 Replacing alternator drive belt


Special Tools Required:
- 11 8 280
- 11 8 390

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove tank venting valve
- Remove underpan

Warning!
Make sure the locking pin is completely inserted in the drive belt clamping fixture (risk of injury)

Note:
If the drive belt is to be reused:
Mark direction of travel and reinstall drive belt in same direction of rotation.





Relieve tension on belt with special tool 11 8 390 and lock drive belt tensioner with special tool 11 8 280, remove drive belt

Installation
Check drive belt for coolant and oil residue, replace if necessary.

Ensure correct installation position (risk of damage)
