Cylinder Head Assembly: Testing and Inspection

Checking Cylinder Head For Leaks - Cylinder Head Removed
Special tools required:

^ 11 8 432
^ 118433

(Cylinder head dismantled).





Place special tools 11 8 431 on cylinder head sealing surface and screw down with special tool 11 8 433 10 off.





Seal coolant aperture with special tool 11 8 432





Connect compressed air to special tool 11 8 432.

Immerse cylinder head in a water bath.

Inspection pressure 4.5 bar.

Check cylinder head for escaping air (cracks).

Note: If necessary, soften the bath water with a cleaning agent.
