Headlamp: Adjustments

Adjusting Headlights

Special tools required:
- 63 2 100

Observe test preconditions for headlight adjustment.







Left hand headlight shown (viewed from front).
Adjust headlights by turning adjusting screws (1) and (2).
1 = Vertical adjustment
2 = Lateral adjustment.







Open bonnet.
Fit service tool 63 2 100 to adjustment screw (1) and lock tool to adjustment screw by sliding (2) in direction shown.
Close bonnet, ensuring the service tool is routed correctly between bonnet and wheelarch liner (3).







Adjust headlights accordingly by turning the service tool as follows whilst holding thumb wheel (1).

Vertical aim:
Clockwise (A) = Up
Anti-Clockwise (B) = Down

Lateral adjustment:
Clockwise (A) = Right
Anti-Clockwise (B) = Left.

Repeat all of the above for opposite headlight.
