Supercharger: Service and Repair

Removing And Installing/Replacing Supercharger
Special tools required:
^ 11 8 401
^ 11 8 402

Remove intercooler to inlet manifold pipe.

Remove supercharger outlet pipe. Service and Repair

Remove auxiliary drive belt. Drive Belt

Slacken modular front end.

Remove crush tubes. Service and Repair





Fit special tools 11 8 401 and 11 8 402





Drain coolant.

Remove alternator connection (1) and remove retaining bolts (2)
Power lead to alternator stud
M6 10 Nm

Alternator to crankcase retaining bolt
M8 25 Nm





Remove supercharger inlet pipe retaining bolt (1).

Remove supercharger inlet pipe (2) to access pipes (3).

Note: Remove pipes via quick fit connectors.

Remove coolant pipes (1).





Remove dipstick retaining bolt (1) and move dipstick to one side.

Move clip (2) from coolant pipe.

Remove supercharger retaining bolts (3).

Remove supercharger (4).
Supercharger to cylinder block
M10 45 Nm

Supercharger to cylinder block
M8 25 Nm

Belt tensioner to compressor
M10 45 Nm

Note: Install new water pump sealing ring prior to installing supercharger.
