Transmission

Beginning with Model Year 2005, The MINI COOPER S is now available with a 6 speed manual transmission, or an Automatic transmission.
The transmissions are mounted in line with the engine on the drivers side of the engine bay. The final drive/differential assembly is integral with the transmission housing and provides drive to the front wheels.
