Adjusting Headlights

63 10 004 - Adjusting headlights





Special tools required:
- 63 2 100 63 2 100 Headlight Adjusting Tool





Note:
Comply with test preconditions for headlight adjustment Test Requirements for Headlight Vertical Aim Adjustment.





Note:
Illustrations show the right headlight.

Adjust headlights at adjusting screws (1) and (2).

1. Adjusting screw for vertical aiming
2. Adjusting screw for lateral aiming





Open hood/bonnet.

Attach special tool 63 2 100 63 2 100 Headlight Adjusting Tool to adjusting screw (1).

Lock special tool 63 2 100 63 2 100 Headlight Adjusting Tool by pushing in direction of arrow on adjusting screw (1).

Close hood/bonnet and make sure special tool 63 2 100 63 2 100 Headlight Adjusting Tool is correctly laid between hood/bonnet and wheel arch trim (3).





Adjust headlight by turning special tool 63 2 100 63 2 100 Headlight Adjusting Tool.

Note:
Secure knurled wheel (1) when turning special tool 63 2 100 63 2 100 Headlight Adjusting Tool.

- Vertical adjustment:
- Clockwise = higher
- Counterclockwise = lower
- Lateral adjustment:
- Clockwise = to right
- Counterclockwise = to left
