Replacing A/C Compressor Drive Belt

11 28 050 - Removing A/C compressor drive belt





Special tools required:
- 11 8 280 11 8 280 Locking Pin
- 11 8 390 11 8 390 Holder





Note:
If the drive belt is to be reused, the direction of travel must be marked and the drive belt reinstalled accordingly.





Remove tank venting valve.

Relieve tension on belt with special tool 11 8 390 11 8 390 Holder and lock belt tensioner with special tool 11 8 280 11 8 280 Locking Pin.

Remove underpan Service and Repair.

Remove drive belt.

Installation:
Check drive belt for coolant and oil residues, replace if necessary.





Caution!
High forces are effective on the drive belt clamping fixture; make sure the locking pin is completely inserted.

If the drive belt has come into contact with hydraulic fluid, it must be replaced without fail.





Course of drive belt

Make sure drive belt is correctly seated in grooves of belt pulley.
