Replacing Wheel Guide Joint in Left or Right Control Arm

31 12 024 - Replacing wheel guide joint in left or right control arm





Special tools required:
- 32 1 190 32 1 090 Removal Tool





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove wheel Removing or Installing Front or Rear Wheel
- If necessary, remove ride-height sensor Replacing Front Ride-Height Sensor





Release nut and detach control arm with special tool 32 1 190 32 1 090 Removal Tool.

Installation:
Replace self-locking nut.
Tightening torque, 31 12 1AZ Control Arms and Struts (Front).





Release screws (1) and remove ball joint.

Installation:
Replace bolts.
Tightening torque, 31 12 2AZ Control Arms and Struts (Front).

Important!
Use microencapsulated bolts only.
