Headlining Touches Roof Frame

On uneven roads, a rattling noise can occur on the headlining in the area of the side sun shade. The noise only occurs on the driver's side.

Cause
In this area, the inner headlining strikes against the rivets on the roof frame.

Repair instruction

1. Remove the A-pillar trim, grab handles, sun shades and the roof operating unit
2. Lower the headlining
3. Attach felt to the rivets on the roof frame

Series solution
As of 22.01.2007, felt strips are fitted at the factory.
