Removing and Installing/Replacing Complete Lock Cylinder in Left or Right Front

51 21 140 - Removing and installing/replacing complete lock cylinder in left or right front door





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove outside handle on front door Service and Repair





Partially raise window cavity cover strip and release screw (1).
Tightening torque 51 21 3AZ 51 21 Front Door Locks.
Release screws (2).
Tightening torque 51 21 4AZ 51 21 Front Door Locks.





Position door lock (1) downwards a little.
Feed out lock cylinder (2) in area (A) and remove.

Installation:
Paddle (3) must be correctly inserted in door lock (1).





Installation:
Make sure door lock is in the correct position when installing the paddle. Notch (1) must be located at the marking (2).





Installation:
Paddle (1) on lock cylinder (2) must not be damaged or missing.
