Noise from the Driver's Seat when Using Easy-Entry

SITUATION
When using the Easy-Entry feature of the driver's seat, a ratcheting noise may be heard from under the seat.

CAUSE
The Bowden release cable is making contact with the outer seat slide under the seat.

PROCEDURE





1. Using ISTA Repair Instructions 52 13 000, remove the driver's seat. Place the removed seat upside down on a clean work surface.





2. Locate the Bowden cable (1) under the seat frame. At location (2), feed the cable tie through the opening in the white plastic tab, and then wrap the tie around the cable to secure it in place. Cut off the excess cable tie. The cable connection to the backrest frame (3) is shown as a reference point only. Re-install the seat and quality check the repair for proper operation.
