Alternator: Description and Operation

The Melco and Mando alternators have six built-in diodes, three positive and three negative. Each rectifies AC current to DC Current, and DC current is supplied from the alternator "B" terminal. The charging voltage is regulated by a built-in electronic voltage regulator.
