Parking Brake System: Adjustments

1. Pull parking brake lever with force of approximately 45 lbs., noting the following:
a. Lever stroke should be four to six notches.
2. If lever stroke is not as indicated, pull parking brake lever repeatedly to adjust shoe clearance, then adjust parking brake lever stroke by turning cable adjusting nut.
3. Raise and support rear of vehicle and, with parking brake lever released, turn rear wheels to ensure rear brakes are not dragging.
