Without Scan Tool

1. Use the special tool (diagnostic trouble code check harness) to connect the diagnostic test mode control terminal (terminal (1) ) of the data link connector to the ground. A jumper wire may also be used.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.







3. Take a reading of the diagnostic output from the flashing of the check engine/malfunction indicator lamp.
4. Repair the problem location while referring to the diagnostic chart.
