Removal and Replacement
1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel.2. Remove ABS wheel speed sensor.
3. Remove caliper assembly without disconnecting brake hose. Support caliper out of way. Do not strain brake hose.
4. Remove freewheeling hub cover assembly, then the snap ring from driveshaft.
5. Remove knuckle and front hub assembly as an assembly.
6. Pull left driveshaft out of differential carrier assembly, without damaging oil seal.
7. Remove right driveshaft to differential carrier inner shaft attaching bolts, then pull driveshaft from differential assembly.
8. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Install left driveshaft into front differential carrier using a plastic hammer.
b. Torque right driveshaft to inner shaft attaching bolts to 36-43 ft. lbs.
