Liftgate-Mounted Spare Tire Carrier

LIFTGATE-MOUNTED SPARE TIRE CARRIER ADJUSTMENT
If the engagement of the liftgate-mounted type spare tire carrier's striker and spare tire carrier latch, or bumper female and bumper male is poor, adjust with the following procedure. Carry out the adjustment with a spare tire mounted.
1. If the striker and spare tire carrier latch engagement is poor, move the striker forward/backward or left/right to adjust it. If the alignment is not correct, adjust the shims under the striker.
2. If the bumper female and bumper male engagement is poor, move the bumper female or bumper male left/right to adjust it. If the alignment is not correct, adjust the shims under the bumper female, or move the bumper male upward/downward to adjust.
