INSPECTION PROCEDURE 16: When in the navigation mode, the messages below are displayed.CAUTION: Before replacing the navigation unit, ensure that the power supply circuit and the ground circuit are normal. (Check that the voltage is 10 V or more.)
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
- The special map disk may be defective.
- The navigation unit may be defective
"THE DISK CANNOT BE READ. PLEASE CHECK THE DISK. IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN, PLEASE HAVE THE SYSTEM INSPECTED AT YOUR NEAREST DEALER."
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Check that no fouling or scratch is present to the DVD (map disk).
Q: Is any fouling or scratch present to DVD (map disk)?
YES : Go to Step 2.
NO : Replace the special map disk.
STEP 2. Using the navi service mode function, check that the navigation unit is OK.
1. Display the Circuit check.
2. Check that "OK" is shown in the field of DVD.
Q: Is check result normally?
YES : Go to Step 3.
NO : Replace the navigation unit.
STEP 3. When the DVD (map disk) is inserted again, check that the map display is normal.
Q: When the DVD (map disk) is inserted again, is the map display normal?
YES : The procedure is complete.
NO : Replace the navigation unit.
"THE DISK IS NOT A MAP DISK. PLEASE INSERT THE MAP DISK."

STEP 1. Check that the inserted DVD (map disk) is the special map disk.
Q: Is the inserted DVD (map disk) the special map disk?
YES : Go to Step 2.
NO : Replace with the special map disk.
STEP 2. Using the navi service mode function, check that the navigation unit is OK.

YES : Go to Step 3.
