INSPECTION PROCEDURE 17: The current position display (vehicle mark) only moves forward or backward.INSPECTION PROCEDURE 18: Even when the vehicle turns the traffic intersection, the current position display (vehicle position) does not make a turn.
CAUTION: Before replacing the navigation unit, ensure that the power supply circuit and the ground circuit are normal. (Check that the voltage is 10 V or more.)
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
- The wiring harness or connectors may have loose, corroded, or damaged terminals, or terminals pushed back in the connector
- The navigation unit may be defective
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using the navi service mode function, check that the GPS is OK.
1. Display the Circuit check.
2. Check that "OK" is shown in the field of GPS.
Q: Is check result normally?
YES : Go to Step 2.
NO : INSPECTION PROCEDURE 15: GPS cannot be received.". Refer to Inspection Procedure 15. and then go to Step 2.
STEP 2. Using the navi service mode function, check that the Gyro sensor is counted.
Q: Is the reverse signal normal?
YES : Go to Step 3.
NO : Replace the navigation unit.
STEP 3. Check the trouble symptom.
Check if the vehicle mark moves normally.
Q: Is the reverse signal normal?
YES : The procedure is complete.
NO : Replace the navigation unit.
