One-Touch Start System (OSS)

DTC U0168 KOS CAN time-out

CAUTION:

- If DTC U0168 is set, be sure to diagnose the CAN bus line.
- Before replacing ECU, ensure that the communication circuit is normal.

DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION

When the signal from KOS-ECU cannot be received, OSS-ECU sets the DTC U0168.

DTC SET CONDITION

Check Conditions

- When all the following conditions are met.
1. Power supply mode: ON
2. ETACS-ECU battery voltage is at 10 to 16 V.
Judgment Criterion

- After the following condition is met, 2,500 ms or more have elapsed.
3. CAN signal from KOS-ECU cannot be received.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS

- Malfunction of the CAN bus line
- Malfunction of KOS-ECU
- Malfunction of KOS-ECU power supply circuit
- Malfunction of OSS-ECU

DIAGNOSIS

1. Using scan tool MB991958, diagnose the CAN bus line.
2. ETACS-ECU DTC check
3. OSS-ECU DTC recheck
